Microsoft® discontinued support for FrontPage® Extensions on Linux servers in 2006. Because of this, cPanel strongly recommends that you do not install FrontPage, and that you uninstall it as soon as possible if it is currently on your server.
cPanel & WHM software version 11.44 introduces an easy way to remove FrontPage in preparation for our own discontinuation of support. In WHM’s Uninstall FrontPage Extensions interface (Home >> FrontPage >> Uninstall FrontPage Extensions), the new Uninstall FrontPage For All Users option allows you to remove FrontPage from all user accounts and from your server at the same time. After you use this new option, FrontPage will be uninstalled, related features will no longer be available, and your server will ignore any related settings. You will not be able to reactivate FrontPage after you use this option.
We plan to remove FrontPage support entirely in cPanel & WHM version 11.46 (Fall 2014). System administrators should be aware that servers that still include FrontPage at that time may lose all FrontPage-related data when the upgrade is applied. FrontPage support has already been removed in EasyApache version 3.24.1 and up.
