We first began collaborating with cPanel with the release of our original WHM plugin in 2013. cPanel introduced official support for LiteSpeed Web Server in 2014, as the only official third-party supported web server. This year cPanel, began to offer LiteSpeed Web Server as an addon on their website as well as within WHM.
For LiteSpeed Technologies, attending the conference every year allows us to spend time with people in the industry and talk with existing and new customers as well as fellow partners. We want to move the web toward a safer and faster environment with our LiteSpeed Web Server. With the recent release of LiteSpeed Web Server 5.4, we are pushing the boundaries of HTTP/2 and HTTPS performance. LiteSpeed at WebPros Summit
This year we are hosting a training session on Monday, September 23rd, at 1:30 pm. This training session provides all attendees with the opportunity to learn more about how easy it is to use LiteSpeed with cPanel, as well as providing an opportunity to learn more about cPanel users and the challenges faced. The session will discuss installing and configuring LSWS in a cPanel environment, the various features that LiteSpeed offers that make it unique, what to look out for when installing and using LiteSpeed, and possible issues that may arise when switching from Apache (or NGINX) to LSWS.
LiteSpeed President George Wang will also be delivering a talk on Tuesday, September 24th at the WebPros Summit. This talk will cover standard benchmarking tools (i.e., ApacheBench, siege, wrk, etc.), their usage, and the pros and cons of the various tools as well as discussing some online distributed load testing services. Attendees will learn how to set up a test environment with the right tool to get correct results, as well as common mistakes and how to avoid them. The main focus of this discussion will be on the evaluation of HTTP/2 and HTTP/3 performance.
