{"id":49313,"date":"2018-06-08T10:21:00","date_gmt":"2018-06-08T15:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.cpanel.com\/?p=49313"},"modified":"2018-06-08T10:21:00","modified_gmt":"2018-06-08T15:21:00","slug":"updates-to-cpanels-privacy-policy-and-customer-agreements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/devel.www.cpanel.net\/blog\/products\/updates-to-cpanels-privacy-policy-and-customer-agreements\/","title":{"rendered":"Updates to cPanel\u2019s Privacy Policy and Customer Agreements"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Privacy Shield Certification<\/h3>\n<p>We\u2019ve been keeping you up-to-date about how the GDPR impacts our policies and agreements.\u00a0 Today we are making two changes to our policies that are affected by the GDPR.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As I noted in my <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.cpanel.com\/updates-to-cpanels-privacy-policy\/\">May 24, 2018 blog post<\/a>, we had not, at that time, received notice that our Privacy Policy had been certified by the U.S. \/ E.U. \/ Swiss Privacy Shield program. Our Privacy Policy has now been certified, and our contracts and policies have been revised to reflect that.<\/li>\n<li>We have also updated our Privacy Policy to be more clear about our cookie disclosure. Paragraph 2.2 has been updated to more precisely define the term \u201ccPanel Product.\u201d\u00a0 This revised definition includes only software and services created by cPanel and not third-party products that may be incorporated into our software and services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Policy Updates<\/h3>\n<p>Our revised policies are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our revised Privacy Policy is <a href=\"http:\/\/cpanel.com\/privacy-policy.html\">here.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>If you licensed our products through our store, our updated agreement is <a href=\"http:\/\/cpanel.com\/legal-store.html\">here.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>If you are a reseller or distributor, you are required to provide our agreement to your customers.
