{"id":60569,"date":"2021-03-31T09:17:46","date_gmt":"2021-03-31T14:17:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.cpanel.com\/?p=60569"},"modified":"2021-03-31T09:17:46","modified_gmt":"2021-03-31T14:17:46","slug":"cpanel-contract-and-policy-updates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/devel.www.cpanel.net\/blog\/announcements\/cpanel-contract-and-policy-updates\/","title":{"rendered":"cPanel<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Contract And Policy Updates"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>cPanel cares about transparency.&nbsp; We recently updated a number of our contracts and policies.&nbsp;The following contracts and policies were updated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>End User License Agreement (EULA)<\/li><li>Technical Support Agreement (TSA)<\/li><li>Pricing and Term Agreement (PTA)<\/li><li>Data Processing Agreements (DPA)<ul><li>Exhibit 9 to the PartnerNOC Agreement<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Standard DPA<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Privacy policy<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Changes To Customer Agreements<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following changes were made to the EULA, TSA, PTA and DPAs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The definition of a \u201cBeta Version\u201d was changed to remove \u201ccPanel Solo\u201d from the definition (EULA);<\/li><li>The definition of \u201cManage Interface\u201d was changed to provide a definition for the term \u201cIncident\u201d (EULA);<\/li><li>We added section 6.2(a) to discuss \u201cBeta Software\u201d (EULA);<\/li><li>Clarified in section 2.1 of the TSA the support we provide for Beta Versions of our Software;<\/li><li>Defined the terms \u201cAccount,\u201d \u201cUpdates,\u201d and \u201cIncident\u201d in the TSA;<\/li><li>Clarified our policy regarding cancellation of monthly licenses in the TSA; and<\/li><li>We made typographical corrections (EULA)(TSA)(PTA)(DPA)(Exhibit 9)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For questions or more information about these changes, please email legal@cpanel.net<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Changes To Our Privacy Policy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Twice per year cPanel reviews its privacy policy for updates.&nbsp; While the last update of our privacy policy was in April of 2020, it was reviewed again in the fall of 2020, but no updates were made.&nbsp; We reviewed our privacy policy in January of 2021, and made the following updates. They are effective as set out in the Privacy Policy, and your contract with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Typographical errors were corrected<\/li><li>The \u201ccpanel.live\u201d site was added to the definition of \u201cCorporate Sites\u201d<\/li><li>We\u2019ve expanded the list of items that are included in our disclosure of activity monitoring.&nbsp; In past versions of the privacy policy, this list only included cookies.&nbsp; We\u2019ve added additional activity monitoring technologies to Schedule 3.&nbsp; Accordingly, the Privacy Policy was updated to make the scope of these technologies clear.&nbsp; We\u2019ve added the following additional activity monitoring technologies:<ul><li>cpanel.live was added to hotjar tracking;<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Reddit pixel tracking was added to cpanel.live, cpanel.net and webprossummit.com;<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Twitter pixel tracking was added to cpanel.live, cpanel.net, blog.cpanel.com and webprossummit.com;<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Facebook pixel tracking was added to cpanel.live, cpanel.net, blog.cpanel.com, jobs.listings.cpanel.net and webprossummit.com; and<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>LinkedIN tracking was added to cpanel.live, cpanel.net, blog.cpanel.com, jobs.listings.cpanel.net and webprossummit.com.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>cpanel.net was added to the list of sites on which Google Tag Manager is used.<\/li><li>We added a description of how we use \u201cGoogle Remarketing.\u201d<\/li><li>Schedule 1 (Personal Information Collected) was updated to disclose collection and use of certain optional personal information that may be collected from Beta Program participants.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>cPanel cares about how your information is used.&nbsp;
