What does this mean for you? If you are already using&nbsp;<em>Jupiter<\/em>, relax; you are good for all future updates. If you are using&nbsp;<em>Paper Lantern<\/em>, why not give&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/go.cpanel.net\/jupiterblogpost\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jupiter<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;a try? You can continue using&nbsp;<em>Paper Lantern&nbsp;<\/em>for the short term, but eventually, we will stop supporting this theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How much time do you have to switch? Here is the schedule:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In version 100:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Brand new installations of cPanel &amp; WHM will consider&nbsp;<em>Jupiter<\/em>&nbsp;to be the default theme for all new accounts.<\/li><li>Already existing&nbsp;installations of cPanel &amp; WHM will remain unaffected. If you are using a third-party theme, you will remain unaffected.<\/li><li>Support will continue for the&nbsp;<em>Paper Lantern<\/em>&nbsp;theme.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In version 102:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>cPanel\u2019s development and release teams will focus on new development for&nbsp;<em>Jupiter<\/em>.<\/li><li>Non-emergency and non-security related maintenance for&nbsp;<em>Paper Lantern<\/em>&nbsp;will wind down.&nbsp;<\/li><li>This will be the last release for&nbsp;<em>Paper Lantern<\/em>. To continue using the&nbsp;<em>Paper Lantern<\/em>&nbsp;theme, you&nbsp;must&nbsp;stay on version 102. We will continue to support version 102 for the duration of the LTS period.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In version 108:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>We will remove the\u00a0<em>Paper Lantern<\/em>\u00a0theme\u00a0from the cPanel interface.<\/li><li>We will stop all development for the\u00a0<em>Paper Lantern\u00a0<\/em>theme.<\/li><li>We will move existing users of\u00a0<em>Paper Lantern<\/em>\u00a0to\u00a0<em>Jupiter<\/em>\u00a0upon updating to version 108.<\/li><li>cPanel &amp; WHM\u2019s public documentation will assume the\u00a0<em>Jupiter<\/em>\u00a0theme in the cPanel interface. Public documentation for previous versions of cPanel &amp; WHM will remain unaffected.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We will continue supporting the&nbsp;<em>Paper Lantern&nbsp;<\/em>theme for any previous versions of cPanel, according to our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/go.cpanel.net\/LTS-support\">Long Term Support Policy<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With&nbsp;a deprecation this large, we understand you may have questions and concerns.&nbsp;Deprecating&nbsp;<em>Paper Lantern<\/em>&nbsp;allows us to focus on improving the cPanel experience in the&nbsp;<em>Jupiter<\/em>&nbsp;theme. Now, more than ever, is the time to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/go.cpanel.net\/cpforum\">let us know<\/a>&nbsp;what we can improve&nbsp;going forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As always, if you have any feedback or comments, please let us know.
