WordPress, arguably the most popular content management tool, is the framework behind millions of sites across the web, including the former cPanel.net. Because of it’s popularity, versatility, and ease of use, WordPress is a handy tool for website owners and naturally a perfect fit as cPanel & WHM Add-on.
We’ve made accessing and deploying WordPress as simple as possible so that hosting providers can offer the world’s most popular CMS to their customers with just a few clicks and website owners can request WordPress from their cPanel hosting providers with very little effort.
For hosting providers
If you’re a hosting provider using cPanel & WHM, use the following 3 step process to launch WordPress installs as a cPAddon for your users.
- 1. Navigate to WHM’s Install cPAddons Site Software interface
(Home >> cPanel >> Install cPAddons Site Software). - Select the cPanel Blogs WordPress checkbox.
- Click Update cPAddon Config.
For Website Owners
For site owners, launching a WordPress site is also a quick and easy process. Use the following steps to install WordPress from your control panel, or if your hosting provider offers Installatron or Softaculous , head to the app store within the widget and download WordPress straight from their catalog.
- Navigate to cPanel’s Site Software interface (Home >> Software and Services >> Site Software).
- Click WordPress.
Enter the requested information. - To install WordPress directly into a domain’s document root, leave the installation URL’s path blank.
- Click Install.
Enter a note for your hosting provider, and click Submit Request. - When the WordPress installation finishes, use your web browser to view the location that you entered in Step 4.
