An account is another term for a cPanel user account that manages websites, files, domains, and email accounts. Hosting providers create and manage cPanel accounts through WHM. WHM reseller accounts are included as an account.
As cPanel does not provide web-hosting services, to purchase a monthly cPanel & WHM license through the cPanel Store, it is required to have the public-facing static IP address of the server. The server must meet the minimum requirements listed in the System Requirements documentation which can be found in the Installation Guide.
The cPanel store accepts Credit Card and PayPal payment methods. The payment methods can be added and managed by going logging into your store account and going to Account Settings then Payment Methods. Please note: The store does not currently support OTP or 2 Factor authentication for credit card payments.
Regardless of when you purchased your license, all cPanel licenses purchased in the cPanel Store automatically renew on the 1st day of each month. When monthly billing occurs, the primary payment method on your cPanel Store account will be billed for your licenses. The only way to stop your license from being renewed would be to cancel the license by following the instructions on the article How do I cancel my cPanel license? before the 1st of the following month.
Additional IP addresses do not need to be licensed, as the only the server's main, public IPv4 is required to be licensed. Additional IP addresses can be utilized for numerous purposes such as being dedicated to an account, utilized for certain services, or reserved for later use.
