No purchase necessary to enter or win. Product purchase will not enhance chances of winning the Prize.

1. ELIGIBILITY

The cPanel Live MySQL 8.0 Survey Sweepstakes (Sweepstakes) is offered and open only in the United States and its territories to legal United States residents at least 21 years old. Employees and directors of cPanel, L.L.C. (cPanel), affiliated and subsidiary companies, advertising and promotion agencies, judges and legal advisors, and the immediate family or members of their households are not eligible. By entering, or bringing a dispute about the Sweepstakes, you agree to these Official Rules, which are final and binding in all respects.  It is your responsibility to determine if the laws of your jurisdiction allow you to enter this Sweepstakes, and receive the Prize, with any restrictions attached to it. 

Sweepstakes void outside of the United States and where prohibited.  

2. PROMOTIONAL PERIOD

Promotional period for the Sweepstakes begins on August 12^th, 2020 at 2 pm CDT and ends on August 19^th, 2020 at 5 pm CDT (Promotional Period). The Prize will be awarded based upon all entries received by the end of the Promotional Period. Drawing will occur on August 21^st, 2020 and all winners will receive an email from a member of the cPanel Marketing team.

3. ENTRY

To enter the Contest, you must complete a survey via the survey link, and accurately answer the questions set out on it (Submission). Upon receipt of your Submission, we will review and process it.  Limit one submission per person. We are not responsible for technical errors that result in our inability to process your Submission, or our failure to receive it.

4. Entering

Information submitted during the Submission process will be used to evaluate compliance with the Official Rules.  Information designated as “public” on the entry form is may be published on our website and if it is, it will be public.

By entering the Sweepstakes you incur no obligation other than your agreement to be bound by the terms of use set out at cpanel.net for viewing our website, and these Official Rules. Any other attempt at Internet or email entry is void. Any use of robotic, automatic, macro, programmed or like entry methods will void all such entries by such methods and persons using any such methods will be disqualified.

Mail-in-Method: You may also enter the Sweepstakes by mail by, on a 3″x5″ card in black or blue ink hand printing your first name, last name, and email address and in the upper right hand corner of the card, printing your email address followed by your first, middle and last initials and mail in a first class stamped envelope to: cPanel Sweepstakes Entries c/o cPanel, 2550 North Loop West Suite 4006 Houston, TX 77092. The card must be postmarked during the Promotional Period and received prior to the end of the Promotional Period.  Only one entry per individual made in this manner will be accepted.

Any entries received for the Sweepstakes will not be carried over or usable in any other Sweepstakes cPanel may offer at any other time.  Late, lost, illegible or reproduced entries are not eligible.

5. HOW THE WINNER IS SELECTED

Four winners of the Sweepstakes will be selected no later than 14 days after the Promotional Period has concluded by random drawing from all eligible entries received for the Sweepstakes. The decision of the judge selecting the winner will be final. 

6. PRIZES/ODDS

One Sweepstakes Grand Prize, a $50 Amazon Gift Card and a cPanel Swag Bag ($49 value), will be awarded in the Sweepstakes. Three runner-up sweepstakes prizes of a cPanel Swag Bag ($49 value) will also be available. There are a total of four available prizes to win through this giveaway.

The winners are responsible for all incidental expenses as well as any rules or restrictions imposed on the Prize by the vendor of the Prize to cPanel.

Odds of winning in any drawing depend on the number of eligible entries received for that drawing. The maximum number of eligible entries per person is one. No assignment, transfer or substitution of prize is permitted. Taxes are the sole responsibility of winner.

7. LICENSE – APPLIES TO ALL ENTRANTS

By entering the Sweepstakes, you agree that cPanel may film your participation in the Prize and may use such footage and your name, voice, likeness, image or biographical data in any media or format now known or hereafter devised, including the Internet, for any purpose related to the Sweepstakes , including, without limitation, in and in connection with the Sweepstakes, and in the advertisement, promotion or marketing of the Sweepstakes  and cPanel’s brands.

By entering the Sweepstakes, you grant cPanel’s, without the requirement of any further permission from, or payment to, you or to any other person or entity, a perpetual, non-exclusive, irrevocable, fully-paid, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable worldwide license to use, re-use, reproduce, transmit, print, publish, display, exhibit, distribute, re-distribute, copy, host, store, cache, archive, index, categorize, comment on, broadcast, stream, edit, alter, modify, adapt, translate, and create derivative works based upon and publicly perform your Submission and any other part of your Submission (other than your contact information) as it appears in the Submission, in whole or in part, in all media formats and channels now known or hereafter devised for any and all purposes including, without limitation, for use on cPanel’s websites, or otherwise, all without further notice to you and with or without attribution. 

The cPanel may assign all rights granted by you hereunder to any party at cPanel’s sole discretion. 

8. GENERAL CONDITIONS

The winner must complete, execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and if necessary, a Publicity Release within 7 days of notification of the award of the Prize by cPanel. Failure to return documents within the time set out above, or if a Prize notification is returned as non-deliverable, or if winner is found not to be in compliance with these Official Rules, or otherwise ineligible, disqualification may result with an alternate winner selected.

cPanel reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or web site; to be in violation the Official Rules.

If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to forces beyond cPanel’s reasonable control, which, in the sole opinion of cPanel, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, cPanel reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.  If the Sweepstakes is terminated due as a result of this paragraph, notice will be posted at blog.cpanel.com.

This Agreement will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas without regard to the conflicts of laws principles thereof. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the Agreement shall be finally settled and exclusively by the state or federal courts sitting in Harris County, Texas.  For purposes of this Agreement, the parties hereby irrevocably consent to the exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue in the federal and state courts in Harris County, Texas.

All data submitted with a Submission will be processed in the United States.  The Sweepstakes is not open to individuals in the European Union or European Economic Area.  Submissions from a jurisdiction not eligible for the Sweepstakes will be disqualified without notice.

9. WINNERS LIST

For name of the winner, or a copy of the Official Rules, mail a self-addressed stamped envelope for receipt within 10 days from the end of the Promotional Period to: Sweepstakes Winner c/o cPanel 2550 North Loop West Suite 4006 Houston, TX 77092.

10. USE OF INFORMATION

The following information you provide to us in your entry will be used by us to market to you.  It will not be sold. 

We may offer sweepstakes, contests, and other promotions (Promotion) that may require registration. By participating in a Promotion, you are agreeing to the official rules that govern that Promotion, which may contain specific requirements of you by, except where prohibited by law, allowing the sponsor(s) of the Promotion to use your name, voice, likeness or other indicia of persona in advertising or marketing associated with the Promotion. If you choose to enter a Promotion, your Personal Information may be disclosed to third parties or the public in connection with the administration of such Promotion in connection with winner selection, prize fulfilment, and as required by law or permitted by the Promotion’s official rules, such as on a winners list.
